The ideology.
The setting for the newest addition to the Trimäpee stores, Trimäpee- The Cubical Confessions, is the toilet cubical. Here, we explore the idea of housing two opposing ideologies, the strange similarities they share, and the boundaries they cross: The Sacred and The Profane.
The toilet cubical is a world that is so private yet ironically so public. We look at the act of confession as being sacred, however the confession itself can display actions that are blasphemous. Consequently, the unlikely pair collides.
The act of confession.
The cubical confession can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. The simple act of scribbling your most intimate secrets on the back of a cubical wall, and the resulting complexities that follows; releasing your private thoughts into a communal domain. The complex act of visiting this space and escaping your inhibitions, and the result that follows; simply flushing away your sins and walking away.
The Apocalypse.
From its complex and enduring relationships with the temptation of evil, to its illicit and controversial affairs with the innocent, to its provocative romantic entanglements behind the cubical door, The Trimäpee Cubical Confessions, is a sterile space, dedicated to the souls who seek redemption.
